HARPY

Anti-Radiation Loitering Munition

Air / Naval / Land

By combining the characteristics of a UAV and a missile, HARPY can be launched without prior intelligence on the target’s location, providing unmatched flexibility for operators. As a loitering munition system dedicated to the suppression and destruction of enemy air defenses (SEAD/DEAD), HARPY serves as a strategic tool for armed forces planning strikes against anti-access/area denial (A2AD) defensive systems, showcasing IAI’s innovation in loitering munitions for precision and adaptability in evolving combat scenarios.

Highlights

  • The world’s first and most operational anti-radiation loitering munition system
  • Fully autonomous
  • Effective in SEAD and DEAD missions
  • Land/naval-based
  • Operational with several Air Forces

Values & Benefits

Launch & Range

HARPY is launched from ground-based or Naval canisters and covers long ranges, creating a safe corridor inside enemy airspace.

Autonomous Targeting

Equipped with an anti-radiation (AR) seeker, HARPY can autonomously detect and strike high-value, emitting targets, locate and identify frequencies, and pursue strikes from any direction with shallow or steep dive profiles.

Mission Endurance

HARPY operates on deep strike missions lasting up to 9 hours, day or night, in all weather conditions, including GNSS-denied or contested battlefields.

Precision & Innovation

HARPY exemplifies IAI’s commitment to innovative loitering munitions by delivering solutions designed for precision, adaptability, and effectiveness in modern combat scenarios.
